2025-2026 School Supplies

The 2023-2024 school year was the first year we purchased school supplies for the entire student body in an effort to have a more standardized approach to organization across grade levels and content areas. During the 2024-2025 school year we leaned ever more heavily into the goal of organization but noticed that students and families did not have the same level of buy-in to keep school supplies in working order when we provided them versus when they were brought from home. We know that students need school supplies, and we also know that being organized is a life skill that will help them in and out of the classroom.

Five Oaks will be requiring each student use the following individual supplies:

  • 3 inch binder
  • Dividers
  • Pencil pouch
  • 6 spiral notebooks Provided by FOMS
  • Pencils Provided by FOMS
  • Pens Provided by FOMS
  • Wired earbuds compatible with their Chromebooks (if students choose to bring AirPods and/or phones, they will remain in their lockers) Provided by FOMS

Each classroom will be equipped with community supplies all provided by FOMS:

  • Dry erase markers
  • Colored pencils
  • Markers
  • Page protectors
  • Highlighters
  • Gluesticks and tape
  • Etc.

The only items we are asking families to supply for students are:

  • A backpack large enough to hold a 3” binder for going to and from school if wanted. We have some backpacks available at school for families in need. Backpacks will remain in their lockers during the school day. Each student is assigned an individual locker to maintain security of their belongings throughout the school day.
  • A water bottle
  • A lunchbox (school breakfast and lunch is free for all students at Five Oaks)
  • 3 inch binder
  • Dividers
  • Pencil pouch

If necessary

To offset the costs of supplies, we are asking for $40 per student payable through the online payment system or by cash or check in the main office. Additional donations can be made to help other students and families as well.

We understand this may be a hardship for some families and no child will be denied supplies as these are required to be used. Please contact your child’s counselor if you need assistance with school supplies.
